I appreciate why both companies are different and how this radically affects price BUT Cazoo are offering me £600 for my 2007 VW Golf 1.9 TDI (98k miles). Autotrader are quoting £1,900 but of course there is little to no guarantee I would get close to that. But even £1k is a lot better than £600. Have people had experiences with these companies and do you have any advice? This is my first car so never sold one before and I'm a bit ignorant and naive about the whole thing (and I didn't have a Dad to teach me this basic life shit haha). Thanks!

Looking to buy an Audi A3 on Autotrader, anything to look out for? (UK based)
Budget is around £10,000, which seems to be more or less what I need to spend for a 2013 1.4L Manual Petrol TFSI. Any advice on what to look out for in general - as well as with regards to this model in particular - would be much appreciated, thanks!
It's been little over a year since I passed and published my toy project. I see some usage still from people who are looking at autotrader.co.uk to buy their first/next cars. Thank you all.
After a bit of guidance! Just about to buy the car in the link. 2 year VW guarantee, 2 services, 2 years roadside assistance and cam belt changed, does this seem ok?: I just found a great car on Auto Trader: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202110198661718
Saw this on Autotrader. It’s left hand drive, but I cannot figure out where it’s imported from? The number plate looks like a UK font but a different format
Passed my test! here is something I made for you if you are looking to buy your first car like me in autotrader.co.uk
Hello, I've recently passed my driving test in my first attempt. I'd like to thank everyone in this groups for the tips that proved helpful for me during the lockdown. I have started looking for a car and quickly realised I was repeating these steps over and over again.
Open an advert, looks for an image with the Registration number
Go to various sites like totalcarcheck.co.uk or google "get mot details"
Enter the registration details
to get informations like MOT details, check if there is any outstanding recalls and occasionally check how long this vehicle is uninsured etc. So I've spent sometime to make a website that will automate these for me.
How to use? Just copy and paste the autotrader.co.uk advert link in the website (like: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202010094786449) If you are using a desktop browser - it's even easier:
Drag and drop the Bookmarklet into the bookmark bar
and click on the bookmarklet when any autotrader advert is open.
This is definitely saving me a lot of time as I am looking at tens of adverts everyday, so I wanted to share this with you. Please share if you find it useful and leave a comment if you have any suggestions.
Hello I have a 2017 BMW 1 series 27k mileage where the lease ends in October 21. I have est repayment of £9333 to keep it but I have already ordered another car from elsewhere. Should I give it back to BMW or try and sell privately? Autotrader have a ‘we buy your car’ deal where they are offering me £12k. Is it a no-brainer to sell to Autotrader and pay off the BMW finance (and make small profit)? Or is this an awful deal with Autotrader and they beat you down when they collect etc? Any advice welcome although I’m not keen to sell privately to individuals I don’t want people showing up trying to make dodgy deals, steal the car etc Thanks
